Description of the subject
Students will learn how to design complete projects of detached houses and civil buildings using computing technology with an emphasis on current projecting programs such as AutoCad, ArchiCad, progeCad, KROS, FINEC… They will learn how to work up project documentation, know construction of different machinery, technological processes related to production of building materials, budgeting and others. The school will prepare students for a wide range of applications in civil engineering. They monitor and pass knowledge from other areas which are indispensable for subjects of civil engineering, e.g. Environmental law, Act about public orders, Trade act… The subject will prepare students for technical and economic positions and middle management of civil engineering. The graduates will be able to carry-out build designs, supervise construction of a building, project different types of work, work in structural laboratories and in the field of administrative matters of structural authorities and companies.
The tuition is realized not only in fundamental and technical classrooms, but also in training workshops within scheduled practical training and in construction companies within general practice. Furthermore, geodetic practice and project days are performed to acquire theoretical knowledge in practice.
